7/4/2023 0 Comments Slacker radio appWith the subscription service, radio listeners can use the on demand features and "station catching" that doesn't require you to be connected via Wi-Fi. With the 3.0 update, Slacker Radio now offers an optimized user interface for iPad owners and support for Slacker Premium Radio subscriptions via in-app purchases. This is a universal app and the latest update brings Slacker Radio to version 3.0. TuneIn is an all-around great app with plenty of features like personalized music, podcasts, sports, NFL radio and much more.Slacker Radio has just been updated and includes outstanding features for iPad users or those who enjoy on demand music search and listening without being connected to Wi-Fi. But all of these amazing features do come with a hefty price of $9.99 per month. Moreover, TuneIn can annoy some users with its persistent notifications and native in-app ads. While this may not drive you away from the app but it’s always good to have better alternatives. Here are some of the best TuneIn alternatives for you. Some smartphones has an FM radio built right into it which you can use to stream local radio stations. To find out if your smartphone has built in FM, simply search for FM or Radio app in the app drawer.Īlso Read: 10 Best Music composer Apps for Android and iOS Best Tunein Alternatives 1. Streaming apps are the best alternatives to the TuneIn app if all you want is listen to music. Although you won’t get every radio station on these apps. Pandora has a number of radio stations and like your music preference changes over time, it suggests newer radio stations tailored to your taste. Overall, the music streaming apps offer plenty of features and if you already have a subscription to any one of Google Play, Pandora, Apple Music, or Spotify you can get almost all the features of the TuneIn app. Jango is a simple internet radio app which offers curated music radio stations. You can explore categories and genres of music to fit your musical preferences and start listening to the radio stations. Jango has 25 different genres and each genre holds around 30 stations on average, which means you get more than 600 stations on this app. Jango would be a perfect TuneIn alternative as you can create your custom radio station by searching for your favorite artists. It also streams high-quality streams just like TuneIn. Plus there is no limit on the number on skips. You can also filter out the songs from your streams, If the app plays a song that doesn’t fit your preference, you can simply tap the dislike button to remove it from the stations.Īlthough the app has ads, it only appears in the music player and does not interrupt your music experience. There is, however, one problem with the playback, the stream plays at a slightly higher speed than normal. It’s so subtle I didn’t notice it until I tried to sing along. Jango is free on Play Store and contains ads. While Radio Garden is not exactly a TuneIn Radio replacement, it’s there in the list because of its unique interface. When you open the Radio Garden app, it shows 3D earth with little green dots scattered around the globe. To play a radio station, scroll the earth and locate a radio station from anywhere in the world. As soon as the crosshair pinpoints a green dot it starts playing the local radio.Īlthough TuneIn is a music app with many amazing features, it, unfortunately, doesn’t have an option to play local radio from around the world. Navigation on Radio Garden is rather easy, and you can pinch to zoom in and out, swipe to navigate. If there are multiple radio stations in the area, you can choose the next station from the bottom right.

Therefore, to outshine all of them is a huge task, and Daniels low-key does it. Heck, at one point it even features Jennifer Garner. And this is a cast that has outstanding actors like Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Andrea Rosen, Josh Banday, Allegra Edwards, Mackenzie Cardwell, Paulo Costanzo, Hiro Kanagawa, and more. Owen Daniels is probably the best actor in the cast. That said, this season they kind of run the risk of being overshadowed by the supporting cast, which is a good thing. But they go beyond that and deliver some of the funniest line readings. So, you’re naturally drawn to them and you root for them. Robbie and Andy have what’s generally called “author-backing roles”. In addition to some of the best storytelling, production design, and seamless integration of VFX and practical effects, Upload’s biggest draw is its acting department. And that’s reason enough to give Upload a watch. In fact, it’s difficult to imagine any other movie or show pulling off Ingrid’s arc (which involves a very demented form of motherhood) and Allegra’s fascinating performance, while juggling the aforementioned topics, without breaking its overall tone. Guy’s (Owen Daniels) antics a sense of cohesion. It’s this invisible rhythm in the visual and narrative storytelling that gives deeply troubling revelations, severed heads, and A.I. There’s such a brilliant musicality to the dialogue-writing, the direction, Simon Chapman’s cinematography, the editing by Rob Burnett, David Rogers, Christine Armstrong, and Lise Angelica Johnson, and of course the committed performances from the cast. But what makes it all digestible and fun to watch is Upload’s tongue-in-cheek, dark humour. Yes, all this sounds like it’s capable of inducing a full-blown existential crisis because these issues are quite prevalent now instead of being a possibility in the distant future. That said, if it’s implemented in an inhumane fashion, does the means or the end justify the cause? However, the showrunners exhibit how the act of liberation can become an act of fascism if it doesn’t take the human factor into consideration. 7/4/2023 0 Comments Moment vector 2dThe number of unknowns that you will be able to solve for will again be the number of equations that you have. Once you have your equilibrium equations, you can solve these formulas for unknowns. All moments will be about the \(z\) axis for two-dimensional problems, though moments can be about the \(x\), \(y\) and \(z\) axes for three-dimensional problems. To write out the moment equations, simply sum the moments exerted by each force (adding in pure moments shown in the diagram) about the given point and the given axis, and set that sum equal to zero. Remember that any force vector that travels through a given point will exert no moment about that point. Any point should work, but it is usually advantageous to choose a point that will decrease the number of unknowns in the equation. To do this you will need to choose a point to take the moments about. Next you will need to come up with the the moment equations. Your first equation will be the sum of the magnitudes of the components in the \(x\) direction being equal to zero, the second equation will be the sum of the magnitudes of the components in the \(y\) direction being equal to zero, and the third (if you have a 3D problem) will be the sum of the magnitudes in the \(z\) direction being equal to zero. In a two-dimensional problem, the body can only have clockwise or counterclockwise rotation (corresponding to rotations about the z axis). Once you have chosen axes, you need to break down all of the force vectors into components along the \(x\), \(y\) and \(z\) directions (see the vectors page in Appendix 1 page for more details on this process). This means that our vector equation needs to be broken down into scalar components before we can solve the equilibrium equations. If you choose coordinate axes that line up with some of your force vectors you will simplify later analysis. These axes do need to be perpendicular to one another, but they do not necessarily have to be horizontal or vertical. Next you will need to choose the \(x\), \(y\), and \(z\) axes. In the free body diagram, provide values for any of the known magnitudes, directions, and points of application for the force vectors and provide variable names for any unknowns (either magnitudes, directions, or distances). This diagram should show all the force vectors acting on the body. \Īs with particles, the first step in finding the equilibrium equations is to draw a free body diagram of the body being analyzed. 7/4/2023 0 Comments Cats mudletIt gets easier as you go, and if you aren't in the CESSPOOL clan, or the MUDLET clan they are open OOC clans that you can talk about whatever in, including some coding know-how. In other words, it's a circlejerk, and I refuse to be part of it. This game's community has normalized bad behavior as long as people who exhibit it are nominally pretending to be all buddy-buddy with each other - you can be a griefer or a troll, you can make the game unfun for other players, and you can have terrible RL opinions, all of that is allowed as long as you're willing to have each others' back and creating a front of solidarity against others who rock the boat too much and call folks out on their bad behavior. Rather, you want this community to cater to you.Īnd it's that part that I'm pleased is leaving. You have made it clear, though your posts and chats, that you do not want to be part of this community. I've seen multiple people dread engaging with you on these topics because of the way you approach both the topics and those who respond. You air them by attacking everyone around you, especially those that disagree with you, instead of actually suggesting things that could be done and working with those around you to achieve them. CA is suffering from a lack of membership and storytelling, yes. And most of those times, the substance of the grievance you're airing is legitimate. Most of the time in your forum posts and discord chats, you're complaining about something. Also judging by replies/reactions to this thread, me leaving should make at least some people happy. He also called Makarov a "boy" despite his relatively advanced age, possibly implying a playful nature. He was described by Makarov as a "great Master who taught harmony and led the Guild to the proper path". Hades seems to be a calm and confident man who shows no signs of fear to his enemies, especially Makarov. When using Demon's Eye, his ears seem to get pointed, and his mustache and eyebrows jut out prominently upwards. He also carried around a long staff, with its top shaped yet again like Fairy Tail’s symbol. He sported a light cape bearing Fairy Tail’s mark on the back, complete with a dark fur-lined mantle, and what looked like a loose robe below it. However, it’s worth noting that the iris of his left eye was dark, while as Hades it’s light gray in color. Īs Precht, his physical features were almost the same, with only his mustache missing. Īfter this first outfit was mostly destroyed and torn as a result of his fight with Team Natsu, Wendy Marvell and Laxus Dreyar, Hades requipped an unbroken, second one, highly reminiscent of the first, but with subtle differences: his shirt, gauntlets and cape remain the same, but his pants are now tucked inside a pair of dark greaves reaching up to his thighs and their belt holds up a wide, dark waist-guard. Sometimes he’s also seen wearing a helmet matching his armor, with a prominent metal plate protecting his forehead, with two lines of studs on the front, siding his face and jutting out in a protrusion on each side, and a darker rear part, adorned by a crest reminiscent of those seen on Greek helmets. Over this outfit he wears a large, dark cape, bearing Grimoire Heart’s symbol on the back and sporting a mantle with a high collar, lighter-colored borders and jagged lower edges. His regular attire consists of a dark shirt paired with armored shoulder pads and shiny gauntlets, as well as chain-mail covering the parts of his arms remaining exposed, simple light pants with flames near the edges - held up by what looks like a light belt composed of two straps with the relative buttons, possibly part of the pants themselves, and dark, simple shoes/boots. His right eye is usually seen covered by a simple eye-patch, hiding away his Demon's Eye. He has some wrinkles on his face, as evident of his extremely advanced age nonetheless, despite this age, his figure is muscular and well defined. He also has a mustache, and a similarly long yet mildly thin and curly beard, reaching down to his lower chest. Hades is a tall, elderly man with long, slicked back, silvery white hair, revealing his forehead. It's really a perfect marriage having Kratos in among the world of Hades and its character since there's a Greek connection between both and also Kratos' past relationships with the Greek gods of Olympus.Hades' former look as a Master of Fairy Tail The best part of it is, you can actually hear Kratos saying the words in your head and it's pretty awesome. The crossover sees Kratos' character pop up in a sequence, replacing Hades who is Zagreus' father, which includes his very own dialogue that emulates how he would talk to Atreus in God of War. To showcase how much they really enjoyed it, they have created a fantastic fan art of the game that features none other than the mighty Kratos from God of War. Even though many would say that there isn't much that could be done to the title by SuperGiant Games to improve it, a fan of the game wanted to give it a go regardless and thought that adding in some fan art of Kratos from God of Warwas a fantastic addition to the already critically acclaimed game.Īdrian Cruceanu, a digital artist at KillHouse Games, adores Hades so much that they named the popular title as their favorite game last year. Starting out as an early access title in 2018, Hades began to gather attention when it officially released last year making it the game that was on the tip of everyone's tongue. Hades has certainly taken the gaming world by storm thanks to its beautifully well-designed environments and impressive characters. 7/4/2023 0 Comments Annoying soundsIn reality, Leighton said, the reason ultrasonics are a problem is not that in bizarre, extreme cases they might expose a tiny fraction of the population to brain or permanent hearing damage. (Leighton, like most scientists, is skeptical that ultrasonic weapons were actually involved in that event.) And although the claim hasn't held up under scrutiny, that was perhaps not entirely nutty the most severe symptoms of ultrasonic-wave exposure do include headaches, tinnitus and hearing loss similar to what the U.S. The most famous supposedly ultrasonic event occurred when American diplomats in Cuba suffered a strange constellation of symptoms that officials initially attributed to some sort of ultrasonic weapon. Still, Leighton is one of a handful of experts on the subject, and he has no idea how many people are impacted by ultrasonics or how severe the effects are on a population scale. But it's backed up by decades' worth of consistent experiments by a number of different researchers. The illness in response to ultrasonic exposure might sound spooky to the point of superstition or quack theory, and researchers don't understand quite why it happens. "If you're in the zone and you're one of the sensitive people, you'll get headaches, nausea, tinnitus and ," Leighton said. "So it dawned on me that we were putting ultrasound into public places where a minority but a large number of people are going to be affected." "These are places where you might have a footfall of 3 or 4 million people a year," he said. While he couldn't hear the sounds, he recorded them using his microphones and consistently found ultrasonic frequencies. Leighton started his early work on ultrasonic waves by going to buildings where people reported having symptoms. But most acoustical researchers just aren't studying high-frequency sound in human spaces when Live Science reached out to a number of acoustics experts outside Leighton's immediate circle of colleagues for comment on this article, the vast majority said they didn't have the knowledge to comment. That isn't to say that Leighton's work is outside the scientific mainstream he was one of two co-chairs of an invited session on high-frequency sound at the ASA meeting and has received The Royal Society's Clifford Paterson Medal for separate research into underwater acoustics. "And that's, I think, why many sufferers ended up at my door." "I think you'd be lucky to find even six people around the world working on this," Leighton said. |
